FAMO Workshop: Thoracolumbar Fascia – Central Roundhouse with Bodywide Influence
Explore the TLF, enhance bodywide integration, move with greater stability, freedom, & ease - online
Service Description
Functional Anatomy Spotlight TLF It has your back in all circumstances, is vital for optimal physical functionality, and plays an essential role in somatic trust: the thoracolumbar fascia. Centrally located in the body, this complex, multilayered fascial roundhouse influences postural balance, movement efficiency, and how we feel in our bodies from head to toe, for better or worse. Our aim is to turn “worse” into “better” and “better” into “excellent”. In this interactive workshop, we will explore the architecture of the thoracolumbar fascia, distinguish its three layers, identify the associated muscles, and examine the LIFT, a force-directing switch. From there, we will broaden our perspective and explore how the thoracolumbar fascia acts as a central roundhouse, influencing and being influenced by the myofascial meridians of the Anatomy Trains body map. The theoretical exploration concludes with practical training strategies to enhance dynamic stability and movement freedom throughout the spine. In the accompanying FAMO Fascia Movement practice, you are invited to cultivate multidimensional strength, movement ease, and refined awareness of your thoracolumbar fascia. The diverse, resource-oriented movement sequences can be adapted to different bodies and functional needs, empowering each of us to gradually move from where we are towards where we can and want to be. Who is it for? This educational workshop is open to movement professionals and bodyworkers with an interest in integral anatomy and structural integration through movement, including: - Movement teachers of any modality - Bodyworkers - Movement and fascia enthusiasts with some anatomical understanding How can you join?
