Functional Anatomy Spotlight - Adductor Magnus the pathway to the Pelvic Floor Significant in size, function, and influence, yet frequently overlooked or kinaesthetically faded out: the adductor magnus. Together with the obturator internus, this myofascial powerhouse provides a mechanical and sensory pathway to the pelvic floor. In this interactive workshop, we will explore the Deep Front Line, where the adductor magnus–pelvic floor sling of muscles and fascia is embedded. We will examine how these myofascial connections contribute to functional integration, dynamic stability, and movement freedom in and around the pelvis and lower back. A key focus is on dynamically stabilising the sacroiliac joints from within, rather than relying solely on external support. Favouring neither approach over the other, we will deliberately alternate between inside-out and outside-in muscular and fascial activity to cultivate multidimensional stability and responsiveness. As an additional benefit, versatile adductor magnus conditioning can help unload tight or strained hamstrings, supporting greater balance and ease throughout the posterior thigh and pelvis. In the accompanying FAMO Fascia Movement practice, you will experience a multidimensional movement sequence that has been successfully tried and tested by movement teachers, bodyworkers, and therapists who utilise movement as nourishment and medicine, both for themselves and their clients.
