The theme is still forming, and I want to allow it the space to continue to reveal itself. Yet its essence is already very clear to me: voice and voicing. What does it mean to truly receive our own voice - and to give it full voice? For me, this begins with the body. Our body is the vessel, the container, the instrument through which our voice can be received, embodied and expressed. When I speak about voice, I don't only mean our linguistic or spoken voice. I mean our inner voice, our intuitive voice, the voice of our Truth, our higher Knowing and our authentic Self - the voice within that has the capacity to guide and lead us. To truly hear this voice, I believe we need a body that is receptive, expansive and grounded. A body that can listen. A body that has the capacity to hold what wants to come through. A body through which our authentic voice can become embodied and, ultimately, actualised. Part of this exploration will also be about recognising whose voice we are actually listening to. Throughout our lives, we naturally receive and learn from many voices - our parents, teachers, books, partners, culture and society. There is nothing wrong with this. Yet sometimes, what we believe to be our own voice may actually be an expression of what we have learned, inherited or absorbed. So how do we begin to distinguish these voices? How do we become truthful enough with ourselves to recognise what is truly ours? And how do we become good stewards of our own voice - learning to trust it, honour it and give it expression? The voice is our oldest wind instrument. Yet before it becomes sound, it is vibration, sensation, breath, impulse and Knowing. It lives within the body. This is why embodiment will be an essential part of our time together. We will work with FAMO Fascia Movement, allowing the physical body to become more receptive, spacious, grounded and available for expression. Besides movement, I will weave in process work, partner work, journaling, breath work and channelling for the group. These are practices I have worked with for many years, both within myself and through my mentorships and retreats. They continue to evolve and refine as I do. This retreat feels like an opportunity to bring these strands together in a new way - to share what has been becoming within my own work and to create a space in which you can listen more deeply to what is becoming within you.
